Search our CV database

We have over 3.3 million CVs for you to search by location, salary and job type. You can set up saved searches and receive matching CVs in your inbox, or you can email candidates direct.

How does it work?
The quick search facility allows you to look through the database by searching under the most commonly used fields, such as location, salary and sector. The CV database has the functionality that makes it possible to only search on CV's that have been added in the last month.

An advanced search will provide you with more fields such as current and desired job title, so you get only the candidates that best fit your criteria.

Once you've selected your fields, you're able to see a relevancy indicator that tells you just how well suited a candidate is to your job. Further, you're able to send an email or SMS to your candidates to contact them directly.

The CV database will also let you set up the Candidates By Email facility, which will send you details of up to 10 candidates at a time that match with what you're looking for -- perfect if you're trying to fill a few roles. Or if you're recruiting in bulk, then a CV Broadcast will send you up to 500 matching candidates a day.

CV Database Proximity Searching

Totaljobs.com have recently launched a proximity searching facility to the CV database, enabling you to search by candidates’ home postcodes for those jobseekers who live closest to your job opportunities. By adding this feature, you’ll enjoy greater control over the area you search by ordering your search results using the distance that candidates live from your vacancies, based on their postcode rather than their desired location.

How does proximity searching work?

Your candidate search page within the CV Database will continue to prompt you to specify search criteria, but with the added fields of “Home Postcode” and “Radius”. These will require your companies’ postcode and you to establish how far the candidate lives from the role, respectively. When these fields are completed, the search results will be ordered by distance, allowing you to view how close a jobseeker is to your vacancy to the closest tenth of a mile. This order will be defaulted; however you will still be able to re-order results on previous fields such as “Overall Relevance”.

How will proximity matching work for newly registered and existing candidates?

Over the last few weeks, totaljobs Group have emailed all registered candidates with details to check, amend or add their postcodes to their profiles, making it easier for you to search for them.  New candidates’ postcodes will be captured in one of three ways:

1.    The candidate will enter their postcode in their profile
2.    The candidate entering the postcode on the data capture form when applying for a position
3.   Using a new tool which extracts the candidate’s postcode via their uploaded CV, and subsequently asks if it is correct

How are the postcodes validated?

All postcodes have been rigoursly checked against constatntly updated Post Office data to ensure they are valid and inclusive of new addresses. If a candidate has a new postcode which has not yet been added to the database, they are asked to send an email address to our support team.
