Totaljobs in the community

Totaljobs.com and the Queens Park Rangers in the Community Trust are now working in partnership. The collaboration brings together a key aim of both organisations – that of getting people back into work. Totaljobs will be contributing by helping jobseekers in the local communities covered by the Trust with expert advice and support.

We will be working with the Trust on a number of different schemes including:

• helping the unemployed gain confidence and skills to re-enter the workforce through our new Off the Bench programme
• working with groups of disabled children and their families
• mentoring young people to improve their engagement with school or work
• and, of course, using football and other sport to build confidence

Additionally we will be working with local authorities in London Boroughs to provide mentoring support at their Youth and Business Masterclass events.

Our staff will also be heavily involved through volunteering on a wide range of projects, from fundraising walks to helping with seminars and workshops for the local community.

The Trust’s mission is to use the power of the football club to forge stronger and deeper connections with its community and it seeks to do this by creating progressive, vibrant sporting and social activities that enhance the  quality of life for people in its neighbourhood.

We feel aligned to the Trust’s objectives around empowering people to achieve their goals and feel that this is a chance for us to use our recruitment expertise to boost the abilities of local jobseekers, helping them to get back into work.
